Homework Procedures for Grade 4

Homework is a good way for families to see what their children are studying in class and for students to reinforce skills learned in the classroom.  Homework may be assigned Monday through Friday.  Homework should take approximately 10 minutes per grade level.  4th grade students will receive approximately 50 minutes of homework.

Students will copy their assignments into their homework planner, and the homeroom teacher will initial the planner.  Please review the planner each evening with your child and sign upon completion of assignments.  This is also the place to write notes or questions to the teacher.

Homework and notes are due upon arrival in the morning.  Homework is considered late if it is turned in after homeroom.  If homework is not completed, your child will not have one of two of their recesses that day.  Please send a note if there are extenuating circumstances.

Homework will be graded at the teacher's discretion.  Students should do their best on every assignment.
