What to do when...
Not receiving E-Alerts (school emails)
  1. Log into your ECSD website account.
  2. Click on "Access My Info."
  3. Check to make sure your correct email address appears. If your email address is incorrect or too long,  you will not receive E-Alerts.
  4. If you have a Yahoo account, it is strongly recommend that you change email service providers and register with either, Google, Live, Frontiernet, or any other email provider. (If 10 or more Yahoo emails are sent at once, Yahoo automatically views the email as spam and rejects it.)
  5. Please keep your accounts updated. It will assist us in assisting you. Thank you.


If you are unable to remember your login password, click on "Forgot Password," and your password will be emailed to you immediately. Please make sure your email address is correct by clicking on 'Access My Info' and reviewing your contact information.

After attempting to login five times without success, you will be locked out of your account. To have your account unlocked, please contact the Webmaster  and your account will be unlocked and you will be notified when your account is unlocked.

To make the registration process more efficient, we ask that you register with our website by filling out a brief online form which can be found on our website. or
 Online registration opens on August 20th.


Once the district has registered you with the website you will be notified by email. Your username will be your email address and you will be assigned a temporary password. After receiving notification, please take a moment to login and reset your password.
Remember, in order to register with School Tool Parent Portal, you must register with our district website.

Every July, current parent/guardian and community member website registrations are deleted. You must then register again in August for the upcoming school year. This allows us to set your viewing permissions so that you can access information that pertains specifically to your child’s/children’s school. Your website registration permits you to subscribe to our E-Alerts system which sends you email updates regarding changes made to our website and emergency cancellation information, as well as other school related information. You can also subscribe to Mobile Alerts which sends a text message to your cell phone. Once we have completed your website registration you will receive email notification from us, which will include your login information. Each parent/guardian may be registered separately or may share an account. Please notify me, if you have any questions.



How To Change Password


  1. Sign into the ECSD website using your temporary password.
  2. Click on the link found in the top right-hand corner of the website window called ‘Access My Info.’
  3. Scroll down to ‘Password’ field and enter new password.
  4. Type in your password again in the ‘Confirm Password’ field.
  5. Then click ‘Save.’


 How To Register With E-Alerts

***Once you receive notification that you have been registered with our website, please take a moment to subscribe to our E-alert system. E-alerts will send you email notification that the web section you have subscribed to has been updated. You may wish to subscribe to your child’s/children’s Teachers’ homepage to receive updates as they occur. See following page for instructions.



Go to our website: www.eldred.k12.ny.usor



Please sign into the website now using the Sign-In Name and password that have been provided to you in a previous email from the district.  This can be done by clicking on the Sign In button at the top right of the site.


Once signed in, you will need to click on the Access My Info button that appears at the top right of the page.


You will now see your profile displayed and available to edit if necessary.  Please scroll down until you see My E-Alerts & Subscriptions.


Click on Edit Subscriptions.


At this point, you will be able to select any sections on our website to which you would like to subscribe.  This subscription will enable you to receive email messages from the editors of these sections, if they decide to announce a significant update on their pages.


IMPORTANT NOTE:  Please check the box next to the District Homepage and next to the School Homepage that applies to you or your child/children.


Please select any additional pages that may apply to you or your child/children, for example:  teacher page(s), athletic page(s), etc.


Scroll to the very bottom and click on Subscribe.  You will now be set to receive important alerts from our website.

 How To Subscribe to Mobile Alerts



Sign into the ECSD website.


Click on "Access My Info," which can be found in the top right-hand corner of the website.


Scroll down to "Mobile Alerts."


Fill in necessary information.


Click "Save."

***Remember, some providers charge a fee for this service. Please check with your mobile wireless provider.
